Hello Again
I watched Campus Superstar II.
Actually it was not really worth watching, People were actually lip-syncing live.
I know how the results was actually derived so I'd say the result was not surprising at all.
Shawn did not deserve to win.
His singing was quite terrible. He has an awful low range, not that his high range is any better.
How dare he sing 终结孤单, a fantastic song. He cannot have the required intensity of vocals required and sounded like a bloody pop princess singing a rock song. He sounded quite sad actually. He does not have the feel for rock, rather he does not listen to the music enough and have enough 默契 with the band (or recording or whatever nonsense mediacorp made)
Wrong choice of song, in my opinion, go sing some quick pop instead.
Benjamin had a better voice but he did not use the intensity of his voice well enough.
His control the range is a decent bit better than Shawn.
Both was not SUPERSTAR caliber.
Zhengning was, in 1 word, boring.
Singing was flat with barely no emotion and voice lacked the power and intensity, not to say that her voice was particularly gentle either.
Her dance moves are hot though! Thats he probably only redeeming grace.
Keely, has a beautiful voice. Her intensity was good. This intensity conveyed emotions perfectly
She was the only person that swept me away with her strong vocals. Perhaps, her lows are not super stable but they were much more stable than Zhennings. I feel that she really put in a lot more effort than Zhenning. The emotions conveyed was more than enough to cover for her albeit awkward dance moves.
IMHO, Keely deserved to win.
